Start your Art Journey with a Commission Appointment

Creating a custom artwork is a collaborative journey. Here’s how we work together to bring your vision to life.

  1. Book an initial free consultation to see if an art commission is right for you. Ready to start! Great! Let’s go to step 2.

  2. Book a time to talk over zoom, or by phone. We begin by having a conversation where I get to know you better. I will ask questions like, “what are you dreaming of” or “what’s on your heart?” This is where I listen take notes and discover the inspiration for your piece and understand the beauty of your story. during the consultation please feel free to share favorite themes, sizes, and styles. My goal is to understand you better.

  3. Details matter. next we discuss medium (graphite and pen, acrylic, or oil paint), size, timeline and budget.

  4. Sketch and notes. After our session you will receive a copy of the notes I have taken in our session. I value your privacy and these notes will never be shared with anyone else. I also send a quick sketch with my vision and recommendations on size and medium. We discuss any minor revisions. As well as a short contract agreeing to the commission.

  5. When I receive your approval you will be charged a 50% deposit, and I will go to work crafting your unique piece, with meticulous attention to detail. Please allow 4-6 weeks for the completion of your one of a kind personal artwork.

  6. Once complete I will send you your finished piece, with a handwritten letter explaining the vision I have for the piece, words of encouragement I hear, and usually a scripture verse. Remaining balance is due prior to shipping the artwork to your home.
